Our History
Given the idea by a friend, REM Bicycle Center was started in 1989 in the basement of a one-room shop. Paul, who had grown up as a mechanic working for his father’s business, had a passion for cycling, mechanics, and helping others. Paul also loved the benefits that bicycles bring to individual’s lives and the positive impact that it can have on a community. These were the foundations that formed the idea of REM.

Quickly outgrowing the small room, REM moved to its current location at 804 Main Street in Jasper, Indiana.
