For #communityfndweek , let’s take a look back! Dubois County Community Foundation was established in 1996 by visionaries John S. Chappell, the late Anthony P. “Tony” Habig and then City of Jasper Mayor, William Schmitt. By 2012, Dubois County Community Foundation and the Huntingburg Foundation were inspired by the idea that a single, county-wide foundation would promote stronger collaboration and could amplify impact on the community as a whole. The two organizations joined forces and solidified a merger in June of 2012.
